I have two model SE-1275A chargers. One charger has two 12 volt wires where one is solid black and the other is black with red stripe. The other has two 12 volt wires where one is sold black and the other is black with white stripe. On each of these, which wire is positive and which wire is negative. Also, when I hook them up using either 12 or 75 amp settings, the gauge fluctuates back-and-forth rapidly and after hours like this, trying to charge the battery, they still never stop ******* to the extreme left and right. One charger sparks fiercely when hooking it up as if the battery is either shorted out, or the cables are connected wrong. (and I did recently replace the alligator clips n it and may have connected them to the wrong wires). The other sparks a little when connecting but not nearly as bad as the other. Either way, the battery never charges and this happens when trying to charge three different batteries. When set to 2 amps, nothing happens and the needle simply stays to the far left. the green light stays on indicating it is charging. What is the problem here?

wild guess here, maybe the rectifier is bad and it's putting out AC voltage .
First check if your dc output is stable. Means does it supply 14.4 v or so to charge battery.
Try to replicate the problem with a dmm hook up to the output led, if the voltage fluctuates between your battery voltage and your charger voltage and in sync with the amp meter needle. I would check if anything shorted or a defective Circuit breaker. They are auto reset and usually on the negative lead, they do go bad. But not so obvious in your situation. You can find replacement in any automotive store as well.

"Try to replicate the problem" With the charger connected to a battery? This is what always happens unless I charge the battery first with another different type of charger.
OK... now try to figure out which component is causing the problem on your end ?
Yes but first I need to make sure I have it wired correctly: black and black w white stripe, black and black w red stripe
did you tore it down ? unwired it ? You'll going to have to wait for some one that have your model schematic to confirm that for you. General troubleshooting is start with transformer or start from the charger leads.

Do you have some form of voltmeter, either analog or digital? Connect your digital meter set to read voltage and connect red meter lead to one of the output wires and the black meter lead to the other output wire. If you get a voltage reading and there is no minus sign on the meter, than the red lead is positive. If you just have an analog meter, if the meter needle swings up with the unknown lead connected to the positive of the meter than that is the positive lead. If needle try to go down, polarity is reversed. All this assumes you have some form of DC voltage on the output leads of the charger.
I did a quick search on line and found 3 photos of each that clearly showed solid black is negative and black/red stripe and black/white stripe are positive. I had assumed this but wanted to make sure, and I think I do have one connected wrong. So I'll fix this first then retest both

You can’t assume that… your best bet is to check with a volt meter.If you must find out without a volt meter.
It seems the negative lead is always connected to the circuit breaker before going to the battery. The particular type they used would look like this.
