Dad got me a scissor jack (60-70's I am guessing) that was frozen from a swap meet. Anyhow I just got it freed up and the jack shaft out so now I can clean it up. So how do I replace the bearing that is on the front 'hub' where the stick/handle goes? I had it soaking in evaporust for weeks and then muriatic acid for a few hours and was finally able to break it free. Is there a source for these bearings or should I just poke a small hole in it and then flush and fill with grease?

Thanks,

Mike

VW, thanks for the link that is what is left of the thrust bearing. I got it off of the shaft and cleaned up and there aint nuthin left inside. So I will have to get a new one, clean and paint and it will go back into service.
