scissor lift as work table

I for the life of me cannot find the picture of someone turning a mid rise scissor lift into a work table. They used spacers to raise the piece of plywood above the arms and attached boards to the side of the top sheet. Basically there was a cover for the lift that they could use as a work table. Seems like a great idea, anyone seen it? I was trying to find pictures again to get a game plan underway.

I threw a piece of cardboard on top of mine and used it as a work table to cut and paint doors. Works alright, but.. pretty expensive workbench

most of them have a bolt hole to stop the sliding pads from going off the end,
you can use this bolt hole to line up and then drill a hole in the plywood, then run a longer bolt, this will help it stay in place.

My buddy has a lift and he just cut a pc of 3/4 ply, wrapped 2x3 around it the same size as the lift so it slips over the top . the table won't move as the 2x is friction fit over the lift

This is mine. I built a frame that fits over the arms. The boards that form the table top are the same ones I use to drive over the lift with.

It makes a great height adjustable work surface

I have yet to build a table surface, but I'm thinking about using some 2x10 or 2x12 cut into sections and laying it perpendicular across the lift as a table...And then it could also be laid on the floor and used to ramp low clearance cars.

For now I just throw a small piece of plywood down. Also, the arms can be extended and used to give access to the bottom of mowers and stuff. They also adjust and line up with wheels to extend a mower over the edge.

I just use the huge flat lift plates on the KwikBay 7K for added bench space. Some day I'm going to get round to making a middle filler, to have a 6'x6' work table for mowers n the like.

ideas look great. I think it will pickup a sheet of 3/4 plywood and make a perimeter out of some kind of wood to slip over my lift. I will just need to use wood to block up to make up the difference of the arm height.
