Got only 8 ft. Ceiling in my garage with a grease pit. Thinking about getting a mid rise scissor lift to put over pit with a 3000kg capacity. Any suggestions and can I lift my tacoma with this? Tia

The pit has been used for years so it is strong enough.
The age of the pit is irrelevant.

You'll be changing where the weight bears on the ground compared to just driving over.

On your capacity question, that is easily answered by either looking up the weight of your vehicle online or getting it weighed at a truck scale.

Quick Jacks could be an option if you don't want something permanently installed. Anything lifting higher than them would be a waste anyway

An 8 foot ceiling is not going to give you much room to lift a vehicle very high. You also need to look at the width of the opening for the pit as the moving part of most scissor lifts isn’t much over 24 inches wide.
