I hope to have a 30 x 40 pole building garage built this year. I can't decide to go with 12' tall or 10' tall with scissor trusses.
The biggest reason that I don't want 12' tall garage because it will be close to my house and I don't want it to make my house look small, if that makes since. lol

Thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks!

I got 9’6” in my 24x24.... I sure wish I put in Scissor Trusses in 2/3rds of the ceiling.

I can’t say anything in the 10 or 12’ question but 10 is comfy to me but Would I complain about an upper hang out loft with 12s? Nope.

I have no experience with any of your options as my new 'gratch isn't in the works yet, but I've never heard of anyone complaining about having more room. That being said I would personally go with 12 foot walls AND scissor trusses. That's what I am going to do. Making your house look small is worth all of the extra space imo

I have 10' walls with 4/12 scissor trusses and a 9' lift off to one side. I can raise my fullsize truck up with enough room to stand under it. I couldn't go higher without a variance. My garage is at 28' wide and the trusses run side to side.
