score on a utility sink

I was about to get one of the plastic laundry/utility tubs at Home Depot, but I wanted one with a shelf and a tray on the side - any of the plastic ones with the faucet were $100 - $125, and the one I wanted on line was $140 + $40 shipping.

I found this stainless steel sink at a used restaurant supply for $175 - it is nice and deep and should hold up well - I did not realize you could get these for that kind of $$$ until a couple of people mentioned it on GJ.

Yes - it is threaded - I was not sure why - I should be able to get a sprayer or something for it - didn't think about a hose.

I have the same sink (mirror image) in my shop. The great thing about the commercial faucet is that there are dozens of different kinds of arms available, from spring-loaded sprayer handles, to double-jointed swing arms, and hose adapters are readily available at any restaurant supply.

just a little safety tip here that faucet does not have a built in backflow or vacuam breaker to prevent potable water contamination. if you plan on attaching a hose you should add a hose bibb style backflow preventer simple thing screws onto the hose thread and the hose screws onto that. look for the one with the little set screw ,but don't snap the screw or you can't replace it easily when it goes bad

You need to find out who in your area auctions off old school cafeteria equipment. They have stainless sinks and other things fairly regularly.

I scored one on Craigslist last summer that was a 3 basin with a drip tray on either side. I love it. I ended up putting it just outside my garage door since I'm limited on space in an attached 2 car garage but it comes in handy for all sorts of things. I think I picked it up for $150 and it still had the sticker on it. New these things can run well over $1000 and the faucets can be pretty pricy too.

If you have a permanent home for yours I would recomend mounting it hard to the wall or something cause the legs aren't super stable if you get to really scrubbing something in it.

That is good to know - I see where a spring loaded sprayer handle would come in handy - and with the compression fittings on the faucet, it should be easy to change out.
I see your faucet assembly also doubles as a paper towel holder.

Lowes has a plastic deep well POS sink that I was considering. $100.00
I'll have to look around for a used metal one.
