Just scored a Snap-On KR661 bottom roll-around and KR691 top chest for $100 for both! Of course it does have issues at that price, it fell over destroying several drawers. Cleaning it up now while the sun's out, pics later!

I would done 100 dollars on that in a second. I'd turn it into the Snap-On wooden drawer special edition.

Jarren, on the back it says KR661 on the bottom and KR691 on the top. Maybe Snap-on is lying LOL.
LaLaLand drawers are available, $200-300 each! Slides are $67.
I have enough good drawers to fill the bottom part, will probably just leave them out of the top right section and use it as a hutch.

SO slides have got to be cheaper than $67. Or are those bearing slides? I wonder if SO still have drawers for those? They still have stock of some drawers for older cabinets.

Anyway, great box :rocker:

With the right approach and patience that is going to be a great toolbox. I'd work every angle to try to get SO to warranty the sliders.

Nice find.

My understanding is the box had too many drawers open at once.
I would never ask Snap-On to warrantee those slides. Not my style.
Going to go back to work on it for a while, was out garage saling this morning LOL

I have done what I can with the box. The bottom is good, the top is not worth fixing. Those slides just cost too much money and I had to use all the good top slides for the bottom. I still could use one or two more sets, some of the drawers are a little stiff. Will sell the top box on Craigslist, see if I can get $100 for it lol. Here's some after pics.

Don't you recognise the "bluebolt" handle CorvetteChris LOL.

Or maybe if I posted a pic of my Sonic Blue 2003 Ford Lightning.

You going to Thunderroad raceway this season?

It took me a minute, but I got it now. I saw the craigslist post and thought, "I've seen that picture before". haha

I actually thought I came across a decent deal, but just a little late. Not that I needed it anyway.

I definitely want to make it out there a couple times this year

i'd leave the top on the box, just put a computer monitor in it, a keyboard, and a vertical computer tower

Just sold the top box for 50 bucks! Guy had the exact same box but a bit rusty from sitting outside, he got what he needed to repair it and I am now only $50 bucks into this box!

That was a hell of a score! I would have put a 25 inch flat screen TV in the top box

The guys who bought the top box just stopped by and GAVE me a set of locks and key for the bottom box since I didn't have a key. It's good to know there are still nice people in the world!
