What started as just a small upgrade to me ended as an awesome deal

I have been saving up for a new tool box. I really wanted 2 HF 40 inch boxes but im in canada after exchange cad to usd i didn't find it was such a great deal. So i decided on getting the husky 52 inch 18 drawer chest so i head home after work to take a shower and decided to check craigslist once more. i see a snapon 54inch bottom chest for 2500 for the heck of it i offer him 1500 thinking he would just delete the email 10 min later he says 1500 cash tonight. So i head over to his house and take a look at it the wheels are a bit rusty and it was advertised as a 52 but its 54inch it wont fit in my garage i tell him ill think about and call tomorrow. He seemed disappointed i wasn't taking it. He says take it for 1200 make it fit. I say let me call you in the morning so i leave. 20min later i call and say 1000 ill come back and take it right now

Well here it is my new $1000 Canadian Dollars :) or a about 725 US dollars

that is an awesome deal! Congrats. I would take the wheels scuff them and spray paint them black or something. I'm not a big fan of fancy wheels on tool boxes though.

First off, congrats. I see those for sale all the time around here, and the prices are always ridiculous compared to what I see folks buy them for on here. It's nice to see that they're not getting what they're asking, or at least not getting it quickly... Where are you?

Good deal, nice box, color, drawer layout. Hope the rust is just on the wheel center cover. As mentioned, get the box off the ground, remove and go through the wheels. The plating on their wheel centers seems to be very thin. You'd probably be best to strip it all off and then paint them.

Just curious why you wont ask the local snappy dealer to warranty the wheels?

I did this recently on my box, no cost whatsoever to me, they were are replaced with a new style supposedly heavier duty wheel, they definitely look like bro wheels which Im not crazy about but for free I couldnt complain.

Awesome. Warranty those wheels. Contact Snap On customer service online. They will hook you up. I bought the same box off craigslist, plus the 791 top unit. The wheels were chewed up. Snap On sent new ones, no questions asked.
