So I got a call last night, from a buddy of mine
It seems the business he works at was doing some reorganizing and house cleaning.
He said they had a welder they wanted to get rid of and he thought I might be interested.
Apparently they had offered it to all the employees and had no takers.
They even called a couple schools to try and donate it, again no takers.
So I rushed right over to check it out.
Here is what I came home with.
It is a Miller stick/TIG. 220 volt.
I'll need to track down a TIG torch and a foot pedal, but it is one heck of a good starting point.
I took it over to another buddy, who just happens to be a retired professional welder, and he was practically giddy. He said this particular machine was always a personal favorite.
At the moment I have no idea what I am going to do with it. It is physically to large for my garage and I don't think my wiring is up to running it.
But it was just to good a deal to pass up.
And the price?
Well I'll probably get stuck paying for breakfast on Saturday.
