I scored 6 lights for the garage today. $100.00 for the set, They are getting rewired and longer posts to hang from the ceiling above the workbenches and up the stairs to the "Cave".

Yea...I know!! Just last night I was looking at a similar light from one of the big box stores for around $45.00 each. They need a little cleaning up and some paint removed from the swivels. The one in the picture was cleaned with some greased lightening and spray wax. I'm leaving the deflector as they are after I clean them up. :bounce:

The other 5 were delivered today. Took one apart and cleaned all the paint off the aluminum pieces with a wire wheel.

Those are really cool. I found a couple of cobalt blue porcelain shades. Got them dirt cheap. Then spent months looking for a fixture that they would fit on. Then had to kind of cobble them together to look right. You lucked out getting them complete. Many times all you find is a shade.

Running the wiring for these next week. A couple of them are a little rough but I think I can make them "resto useable".

I found an original 14" complete for $60 total and that was a deal. You got an extra sweet deal.

Nice Score!! Now get moving, you've got 5 more to do!!

I may take tomorrow off, that ought to give me time to get them done. I took another apart tonight and the paint is a little beat up I may just sand down the inside and repaint. Taking all the hardware to the wire wheel. :bounce:

Are you sure it's paint? Most of those were porcelain enamel not paint.

Exactly.......you are correct sir! I think I may just clean them up the best I can and put a shine on 'em. The hardware cleans up real nice on a fine wire wheel.
