I went to Home Desperate today to pick up some weed wacker plastic wire....anyways, I walked passed an end cap at the end of the garden supplies aisle and saw a stack of Rigid Wet/Dry vacs. Saw that the 9 gallon-3.5hp unit was marked at $28.97. Didn't think much about it (the price) as I didn't pay much attention to the original price (I am the world's worst impulse shopper). I figured I would just grab one and then I left.
Well....when the gal at the register rung it up, it came up as $54.99. I said "That's not right!".....she was absolutely certain it was as she had sold a few that morning. (remember that the majority of the vacs are over by the hardware aisle). I had to walk with the assistant Mgr. to the end cap to show her. She capitulated. Well....long story short.....I walked out with TWO of them at $28.97. Needless to say, they removed the endcap cardboard sign before I was even out the door!
Finally a GOOD trip to that place!!
