Gents, I bagged a pair of Klein D314-8 long reach, long nose pliers from HMC Electronics. Klein discontinued these about a year ago and I have needed a replacement pair for awhile. HMC was closing them out for $8.24. Carriage was $10 so eighteen dollars and change is still four to ten dollars cheaper than most online retailers sold them for normally. If you have ever used these you know how good they are for tight quarters like control cabinets, motor controller cabinets, etc. I am happy this week.

uni, I think I grabbed the last pair they had. If you like these gents you'd better grab them where you can, while you can. They really are that handy. Of course like all newer Klein pliers you need to work the action with some oil Should NOT have to do it on a brand like this but reality these days...

Older guys I work with tell me that Klein pliers used to come much more stiff than they do these days and that it would take months of work to get them broke in. My first pair, d2000 series, was pretty stiff; I had them for a month until I blew a hole in them...they hadn't broke in yet. I got a new pair from the same supply house and this one was smooth as butter, like I had used them for years.

Those are nice pliers. I got the Klein D364-11 for $46 and the Klein D302-6 for $26, so I can attest that these aren't cheap.
