Blackhawk SJ-1 1.5 ton. We have this open trailer at work for scrap metal. I was out there empting my bucket and saw a floor jack. We don't have a big crew so I figured it was most likely from my boss's home garage. I know his son in law & at one time he said that he had a professional jack at home that he bought new. You'd think he really take care of it because it was a pretty penny when it was new but I guess that's not the case. This jack (when its in good shape) is better then the 3 jacks in our shop. I have no idea where the handle is, the front wheels & saddle are rusted solid. The casters spin freely & the jack goes up when pumping the yoke. I didn't try to load it as my other jack's handle wont fit. I have another handle (import jack that belonged on the heap) that might work after I turn down the end.

It's really not that grimy, just rusty.

That jack will clean up with minimal effort. Getting a new handle is no big deal. You have the most important part.

Awesome dumpster dig. I wish I still had a dump to browse through whenever I see posts like this.

Got the jack going. I shattered one of the front wheels trying to get it off with a puller. I used some wheels from a china jack that I scrapped & they went on with a little cutting & grinding. The handle is from that other jack too, I had to modify it by grinding it down to fit the bore of the yoke and making the lock groove line up to the screw. It had a cross pin for the release valve just like the original one did but not in the same spot. So I had to drill that too. The only thing I had to buy was some jack oil.
