Saw an add on CL for Radio Shack store fixtures. Happened to know the seller, sooo...

Here we go, 240+ feet 2x4 Slatwall panels, 8 ft tall chrome uprights and shelving plus some other related stuff. (shelf brackets, display items, etc.)

Two pick-up loads, probably two more to go.

Too bad you don't live near me. I'd offer to take some off your hands.

I think this deserves a YOU ****! Can I ask what you had to pay for it? Great score!

NO, you can not ask....lest my wife should read this. :dunno: Part of this is for her, so she's cool.

Actually, the panels, up rights, shelving and hardware works out to about .35 cents each. Then there are other fixtures, displays, hooks-brackets, of all sorts. Too, many to count.

I gave the guy 400 bucks for everything he had to get rid of, which means I got more than I wanted. But you know the rules, Take it all, cull it when you get home.

THANKS!!! Why didn't I think of that??? Of course she had to help me unload all that stuff off the truck.

I'm sure I could thought of something creative.

That wall will make you very happy! :)

I just bought 24 4x8 sheets from a company going out of business for $300 and I've been slowly installing it. HEAVY when its full sheets!! The problem I'm finding is it so easy to hang stuff now I can't get the rest of the garage finished because I'm busy hanging **** up already!!

One IMPORTANT tip. They are way thicker than drywall so you have to move all your electrical out. IE the outlets and switches have to come out to about 5/8". And so far it looks like my old pegboard pegs actually work as well as the slat wall specific stuff.

Look ma, no drywall mud!!! Nice score for you!

$12 or $13 each ... great price!

I bought 10 4x8 sheets at Menards last month; paid about $42/sheet.

When you hang the large sheets, which are really heavy, screw a 6' 1x1 cleat to the studs about 48 1/8" below the "top". Having the cleat help you hold really makes putting it up much easier!

Anyone know if this type of commercial fixture slatwall is compatible to Gearwall accessories? Looks like it fits?
