Scored some tables

I got word that my employer was obsoleting a product line and would be scrapping the contents of the build area. I picked up these two tables that were headed to the recycler. I guess it is cheaper to toss them they to pay storage.

They're a magnetic stainless (top and bottom), 3' x 4' with 1/4-20 tapped holes on 1" centers over the top surface.

The casters have built in leveling feet. It required some reorganization (still in process) of my small space, but I think these will work out well.

I think I'll use the tables for layout, so the holes are useful for holding things down. I just need to devise a way to keep them covered when not in use to keep crud out of the holes.

If they're not through holes, or really even if they are, you could cut some threaded rod into appropriately sized pieces and slot the ends. Might be too much trouble taking them in and out though.

Just lay a piece of sheet metal on top till you need to clamp something, then slide the sheet metal off for those situations

For covering it, I was thinking along the lines of a fitted cloth cover. Where practical, I keep the other equipment in the garage covered when not in use.
