Only just seen this thread - great space you have there. I was going to suggest getting a trolley-crane thing on that I beam but you beat me to it!

How about building yourself a blast cabinet?

Those new shelves should give you a lot of useful storage space!

Just wondering though, are the rear horizontal shelf supports anchored to the block wall? If not, I see two potential problems; 1) The shelf span appears rather long and the shelves may sag when loaded. You may need to add more vertical shelf supports; 2) If shelves aren't anchored to wall, and if not loaded very carefully, the entire shelf assembly they may tip and fall forward causing damage or injury.

If a was to put more supports in the now I wouldn't be able to fit the shelfs because there too long and the shelfs are screwed to the wall every 2ft the now anyway

I'm planning to put more supports at the front and back once I'm finished

At the moment I'm just fitting the shelves

One of my carpenters is a ****** F'n Scott.

Every time I tell him he's done a nice job on something, he gets a funny look in his eyes and yells "If it's not Scottish, it's ****!"

Sometime I tell him 'Good job' even if his work *****, just to hear him yell.

********!
