Hey gang! Just saying hello, and that the Garage Journal is a great site. I really enjoy reading the posts and the journal. I'm doing a thing I call "scrap yard art" in which I use junkyard parts and repurpose them into art. Check out my current Etsy page, https://www.etsy.com/listing/156402488/hot-rod-engine-wall-art-1964-chevy-v-8. I'll gather, clean and paint the parts. Then I'll fabricate the framework and assemble the engine! Thanks for reading and thanks for looking! Contact me if questions! I can send additional information and photos! Mark

Thanks gang!
Did either of you by chance check out the engine wall art in the link that I attached? Just wondering what you think? If it's a good idea, I'll keep making them -
Any thoughts?
Thanks! Mark

Mark, do you by chance have any lightweight (racing) flexplates that have not been quartered up? Missing teeth are okay.

The art looks cool btw.

Thanks for the compliments! Well, the flex plates I pull are all from the junk yard. Some are in good shape, others are in pretty bad shape. I just like them for the industrial / gear head look -
I haven't used any lightweight racing plates yet - have been getting them from the yard so far...
I have some cool saw blade brackets that I'm working on next, might get them welded up tonight hopefully!
Thanks everyone!
Mark
