Looking for someone to identify this older drill press. I'm sure it's factory made. Hated to see it crushed at scrap yard so will clean up and mount a motor on it and see how it goes. Thanks Bill

What did you/ how did you finish. I'm n for more pics. Your shop space looks cool, glad you were able to save this from scrapping.

If your asking about the grinder it was completely taken apart and sand blasted. Painted with Ace hardware grey with brush. As for the stand, that also came from scrap yard. Had a really large and beat up 3 phase grinder that did get scrapped. I cleaned the stand and put Penotrol on as I liked the patina.

Started cleaning and sand blasting parts to remove old paint and rust. Need a little help with getting chuck off spindle. Has a set screw which I know has to be removed. So then unscrew knurled nut?
Does it push Chuck off? Thanks for any help with this issue. Bill

Some chucks were held by a knurled nut like that. I'd suggest clean that setscrew hold real good and check for threads at the bottom.
