I’m recovering an older Lennox furnace at the lake. It started life as a NG unit and was converted to Propane. We converted to electric and should have taken it out years ago. Also have all the plenums extra that were installed originally.

Are there any uses or projects for the old parts, besides reuse of tin work that anyone has come across?

Agreed. I installed a blower motor between 2 rafters and boxed it in with some scrap OSB. It blows out a roof vent and runs off a thermostat set to around 90 degrees in the summer. Helps a lot. The little eductor fans are neat to use for things as well such as dust collection.

Thanks I was planning on keeping the squirrel cage and motor. Never thought of setting it up with thermostat but then again I don’t live in Texas.
I’ll have to dig through some old threads.

I bought my t-stat off eBay. It needs to be rated for around 15 amps, fyi. Most are not. It's digital but doesn't have to be.
