In reply to Dan:

Yes, they're surprisingly bright! I walked around by dark basement with the lights off to try them out - these things are great!

Thanks. I got two, one for my dad and one for me. There're plenty left at my local store in Hyattsville, MD. They're not at the safety glasses aisle but on the far right of the store (when you enter), near the electrical aisle.

Sold out at HD on Hanley St Louis - but the guy that helped hunt for them remembers they were 5$

Found the pen light but also found

Set of Basic drills bits and driver tips 2$
Another set with more (and only) driver bits 2$
Good little plastic case
Not bad for disposable tools to tear things apart/scrap etc.

I got the last pair of glasses at the Highland Hts. store. However they have several light pens and Husky Impact/drill combos left. All by Christmas sale stuff. Also; Chardon store sold out of all three.

My HD had 36 in stock. They weren't with the other eye wear. They were up front on a separate cardboard stand with some other glasses. They were NOT labelled.

I had to ask at the service desk for the SKU. When the guy saw the price he said he was going to buy several pair after his shift. They will go fast once people catch on.

I went thru the HD yesterday and saw no deals on anything except a table of demo cordless tools. One Ridgid driver/drill was 75 with battery. No impact driver to be found. No hand tools on sale or in the bargain bin.

Maybe we don't get that stuff. I didn't see the Vaughan hammer either. In fact, my HD doesn't have any Vaughan. Lots of Eastwing.

Looking in the right place? All this stuff is in the promotional section with all the leftover holiday sales. It's usually at the front of the store.

How could I miss it? Let's see, the front of the store... where I walk in, where I pass the tool dept, where I check out and near the CS counter.

While it's true I can't find a pencil in a drawer, but if HD had these screaming deals, I would see them.

But, we have a HD every five miles here and the 2 closest stores are barely a mile apart. I wonder if they just don't have anything left over.

Picked up 5 pairs today in Clifton Park N.Y. They had about 5 pairs left. Had a hard time finding them as they were just stuffed on the shelf sideways. I actually went back about three times looking around the safety glasses before I spotted them. There was no sticker on shelf so I had a cashier price check them. They were $4 each.

bought 2 pairs this morning at the home depot in bridgewater, nj. website said they had 55, but after looking all over the store with 3 employees we could only find the 2 in some random aisle not close to the sale stuff or the regular glasses.

I used my 3M led glasses last night while poking around in the attic. They're no substitute for proper lighting, but they are helpful in dark corners or looking into the bottom of the tool bag.

Thanks for the heads-up Nader.

They still have several (late yesterday) at Charlotte, NC, Albemarle Road store. $4. They are on a high shelf with the other safety glasses.

I picked up 6 pairs myself took a pair to work and giving a pair to the FIL i got them for 5 bucks but I had to look all over the store to find them they werent up front with promo stuff. I found one pair in the glasses aisle and a couple of pairs on an end cap and another couple of pairs in the hardware aisle. The store had 63 when I started I bought 6 my buddy 2. He found another hd with them for 4 bucks so he bought another couple of pairs.

I went to the Palm Springs looking for the G20 pen lights, drill combo, and safety glasses for fellow forum members and was told all three were inactive items. One employee told me the drills were sold out yet i found 9 by thebair tools. Pen lights were up by the register thanks to one out of 6 employees... The safety glasses have never been seen by ANY of the employees. Walked up and down every isle and checked all end caps. I guess Ill just order them for in store pickup and let them do the foot work. My guess is they're boxed up on a shelf somewhere like the Husky combo was a few months back.

I'm going to wear them to the range and see what the other shooters say! Hahahaha.

I went to HD today to get some ice melt and I was curious if they had these in stock. I really don't need them but for $5 what the heck.

THEY HAD THEM IN STOCK AND THEY WERE ONLY $3!!!!!! So I picked up a pair and used military discount to get another 10% off.

Thanks OP!

BTW I check stock online and it said "out of stock" but they had about 20 in stock.

Was at my local HD and figured I would buy a few more for gifts if they had dropped to $3 like all the other stores have done. Now they are at $9 each. WTF??? They're clearance items, buy you're RAISING the price? Whatever. Still glad I got mine when they were $5 each.

Today, I finally got back to the HD I had gotten my two pairs at. They had four on the shelf, and they were marked down to $3. I picked up all four pairs.

I find that they don't sit tight on my nose, but if I press them down hard they will stay ok. The LEDs are just too awesome not to have pairs stashed all over the place. I'm going to keep one in my glovebox, too.
