When you guys add this to ratchets Such as

Do you see any long term weakness in them uf you go to crank on them vs. A bare handle?

Would make me nervous. The ratchet handle should be deeper in the handle, if that lets loose under pressure if you are really cranking on a bolt ... "hey, there goes your knuckle jack" in my best uncle si voice. Whats wrong with the metal handle? I am a spoiled aviation mechanic our nuts and bolts don't generally have to deal with road grime and salt to freeze them up.

But if it were me back on topic... Id drill the screwdriver handle through a little more and really seat them on the ratchet.

Well. The issue with the bottom ratchet is the ratchet was made for a 5 year old. Plus, they just plain feel better. Lol.

On a 4" screw driver handle, how far do you guys go in when you create these contraptions? m in about half way.

Well, not the bottom ratchet as its just a 1/4, but they dont get any torque lol.

I work on airplanes lol so I dont generally want my handles long (tight spaces) I do have big hands so I got the armstrong ratchets that just feel right.

The only reason I'd go deeper is the ergonomics of pushing a ratchet. You generally apply the most pressure to the outside of your hand. That will have you pushing on part of the handle that does not have the ratchet handle extended. 90% of the time your probably safe but really torque on one and you have a chance to edge the handle off the ratchet which could lead to cussing and vigorous application of peroxide on your fleshy knuckles lol. I am partial lol I'm majoring in industrial safety for my continuing education so may be over thinking the whole thing lol. If it feels good use it.

I generally sink them till the knurl ends.
Top one should been a little deeper.
The rubber handled ones are nice to use.
(and the bottom one shifted as the epoxy set overnite)

You may be deeper than you ever need. I'm no engineer. If it feels good do it. Best part about tools is having them feel right and if thats what they do don't change. I hate coming off as a debby downer lol. Keep an eye out for the old snap on hard handle screwdrivers at discount. Those handle feel really good on a ratchet and can be had cheap at rummage sales and pawn shops. Online they are generally overpriced for the purpose of drilling out. Just want to make sure I don't come off as stiffling lol, hard to come off online anyway but critical, but critical is not my intent

Chopped f/g fibers can add som body to an epoxy build up to help prevent shifting. cut the fibers to tiny little bastards that will leave you itching for a day or two and use sparingly
