well i'm tired of craftsman screwdrivers. I've used a buddy's wiha softfinish or something of the sort red with black grip. I liked it alot, but was wondering what y'all thought of the hard handle wiha's. It's a rare moment when I actually work on something that is clean. I just want something with a good strong tip that's not hard to wipe off when i'm done with it. What's y'alls take? I;ve also read the talk on the wera's, but i'm not particularly fond of their handles.

Also, I got some sear's giftcards that I need to spend... I have the nice new 3/8 rachet and was thinking about the 1/4". Besides that the only thing that caught my eye was the knipex pliers. not sure how well the cobra tip and other channellock/ plier combo type things work. If you had ~$150 in gc what would you get?

I have some of the Wiha hard handle screwdrivers, and like them very much. Mine have the rough finish that helps with grip, black handles, hex shank, with a hex bolster at the end, and a steel cap that goes all the way through.

Some of the best made if you ask me, and I think I'll be adding some of the specialty ones to my existing stuff.

I'm not one to have redundant amounts, just like to have what I need, and what works.

What to spend gift cards one would depend on the kind of person I was.

If your a quality guy, go with the Knipex, you'll never look back, but if you prone to leaving them out in the rain, or digging a ditch with them, get the channelocks..you won't be out so much money per tool that way when you find them a year later!

Well I keep my stuff up, but I use it to it's fullest. If i'm in a bind a screwdriver becomes a chisel a pipe wrench a hammer etc. I mean that's when your really in a bind. I keep up w/ my tools have just about everything you would need from craftsman, a nice set of i think code blue channel lock, and a few diff gearwrench sets. stubbys etc. I'm just getting tired of the craftsman screwdrivers, and also liked how firm the knipex felt compared to my cman pliers

Consider buying direct from wihatools.com. Very happy with my stuff straight from them. I have the extra heavy duty chisel drivers linked above and they are great. I really like the look of the translucent red handles as well, but don't have any.

I got a set of williams hard handles and they are great. They grip screws nice and the hard handle is very comfortable.

I have some Craftsman screwdrivers but I will not buy more. I have a few Matco, Blue-Point and some SO screwdrivers that I prefer to use.

Yeah I was looking for something else on the sears site and saw those and thought $110 that's nuts, so I checked amazon just out of curiosity. By the way +1 for Wihatools.com that's where I got mine from, but I got the smaller set in the zippered case and they threw in the 2 piece set of the measure up screw drivers as a free gift.
