Screwdriver Set for Good Price

My boss has the SGDX80BR set and I really like the grips/handles on the drivers plus they come in a moulded plastic tray. Is there a similar set for a quite bit less money? I was looking around a little bit but I am just not good enough with tool brands to know who else makes a nice sets for less month, I just know the really big names. I would like the set to get a good quality brand and I might just end up spending the $150ish on this set if nothing else is close for quite a bit less.

Williams has sets close to older s/o hardhandles for considerably less $, and from what i here from folks here, are very nice. rooster

The 6 piece SO Instinct set is about $100 on the truck. Comes with all the standard size Phillips and flat blade screwdrivers a guy would need. I bought it instead of the eight piece because it was not worth the extra money to get the stubbies included. I just use my old crappy Cman stubbies as I don't use them much and don't think you need the best for stubbies.

I really like my Williams set. But if you like the soft grips, Wiha has good ones at reasonable prices. Many people like the Craftsman Pros as well which look similar to those snap ons. I had bad luck with a couple, but my set may have been an aberration.

I really like the Craftsman Pros, sadly they will probably be the last thing I ever buy new from them, particularly if they continue the offshoring of their hardline tools. I've seen a couple of people complain about the quality of the torx drivers out of the box (weren't formed right apparently) but mine are fine. They are light years beyond their standard drivers, and I dare say even better than the Kleins I have.

You certainly can't complain about the price of them, a set of 6 is less than $30 online from Sears.

Evercraft 776-0506 $41.49 at your NAPA warehouse. They have real comfortable hard rubber handles that give you an excellent grip with no slipping.

Next next set of screwdrivers are gonna be the USA Williams. No brainer. Tools delivered has the best prices on the sets plus you can get them separate for the odd cabinets screw driver types.

I bought a bunch of different screwdriver brands to see what I like, turns out I don't give a rats behind and use whatever is closest.

Snapon hard handles are nice, but half of the screwdrivers I have are clones of the same handle. As long as the tips are in good shape and fit the fastener, it just doesn't seem to matter what brand the screwdriver is.

Im in love with my witte rebranded matcos since they actually fir the bear paw i call a hand ... no idea what they go for though.

Do yourself a favor and take a look at Wiha. Snap on prices are ridiculous and many here, incl me, have received Williams drivers with poorly machined phillips tips.

Klein's VACO screwdrivers are nice, a bit old school but get the job done.

Got a set a Wiha soft finish screwdrivers.
Best set of drivers I have ever used.
Even better than Snap-On IMHO.

I have Snap On Instinct and a set of Wihas. I always grab the Wiha. They are the best screwdrivers I've ever owned. Extremely affordable too.
