Screwdriver with metal cap or lasertip

Looking at Wiha Wera or Felo screwdrivers. Im a mobile tech so when I go out lately Im finding screws(sizes 6/8/10) rusted or impacted on. My Crafstmans usually work like a standard #2 ph. I have hit them with a hammer to help but sometimes the plastic handle makes the hammer bounce off. I cant use a torch(I wish) So I was going to get the metal cap screwdrivers. But the tips dont come with the lasertips. I dont know wich one is a better one to get.

Buy a hand impact driver to loosen them up, and then use the "normal" screwdriver of your choice to finish them off.

The metal capped drivers are still going to present the same issue with the hammer bouncing, probably even worse.

Wera have soft tips compared to Wiha HD which is the toughest screwdriver I have used.

Don't use them all that often but I really like my yellow grip Weras. Tough as nails. Not tried the Wihas John mentioned, but everything I own stamped Wiha is damn good.

Actually I would hope they are tougher than nails.... nails are typically considered medium wire, not hardened steel

I like my metal capped Weras much more than the lasertips. They have more of a mechanic's screwdriver feel rather than a light duty electrician's feel. If I were using them in rusty screws I would surely want the heavier, thicker shafted screwdriver. I also like the balance of the chiseldrivers better.

id get an electric impact and some good bits(milwaukee or dewalt)
the impact shakes them loose better than by hand
ive broken a few screwdrivers and bits removing import rotor screws; ive been using an impact for the last year and only had one cam out

I would just get a wiha hd set from amazon so you can save time not having to always reach for the impact driver for every rusty screw.

I think its a Wera thing, but the tip on the blades at least have fine laser cuts that dig into the screw head. I like them a lot.

+1 Use a hammer/hand impact driver, thats what its made for.
