yes, if it is flat, you can just grind a slot out of the middle of a flat screwdriver

Glad to hear that. I was just thinking about those a month or so ago .

If thats a screw for the side cover of a baitcast reel, a regular small slotted driver should work fine.

try putting your finger or something close to the screw head to see if it will focus closer . (more mass a the focal point )

that may be the nut , sort of like a binder bolt

Just use a regular slotted screwdriver.

The round part in the center serves only to keep the bit centered to prevent slippage.
