Screwdrivers are a wear item. Consider ease of warranty and local availability. I like the red and black handled craftsman pro's. Made in USA by western forge.

The Craftsman Pros generally get great reviews. However, a few people including myself have had issues. I had the tips of two Phillips drivers pretty much disintegrate removing stubborn screws. I'm not talking a stuck screw or the wrong size, just a tough one.

I'm thinking perhaps there was just a bad batch and some of us got a few of those. But the tips were just garbage. On the plus side, they were easily warrantied. I can't say if the replacements are better, since I basically relegated them to the car toolkit after that. So I won't say the CMan Pro's are bad - there's just too many positive reviews. But it might be hit or miss as to whether you get a good set or **** set.

I agree with the positive comments about the Wihas. The tips are great and the handles are comfortable. But I wouldn't use them in a greasy environment if you want the handles to stay clean. Aesthetics aside, I think even with greasy hands they won't get slick.
