Man, crazy thing is you can get a Williams set for cheap! Then again, they don't have the "Snapon" logo!

Man, look at all those Yankee tools!!!!
Those green must be rare, haven't seen many of those! I have a couple of a 57' chevy special edition handles with the chevy "bowtie" on them and they are "seafoam" green or lite blue color.
This is a unique color too! I have one lonely screwdriver with that color; #2 phillips.

If I needed that set, not being new off of the truck, I'd pay no more than $70-80 for that set. Thats ridiculous. I like my old style (pre-instinct) soft grips.

Are the red handles that rare? On those "octo grips" they must be rare because all the years I have been flea market scrounging; I have never seen any! Maybe now I know what they look like I will find some!

Ever seen these? Unique limited edition from Snapon; I have one little screwdriver out of this set. Think it was a $1 at the flea...

These are mid 50's. In this condition, they should be quite rare.

I have never seen those at any flea markets...

I have been able to find straggler colors in my "loose United Colors of Benneton" Snap on Screwdriver collection.

One Pearl (sold), One yellow(sold), a blue (I like the blue, I sold), several oranges, a couple of reds, many blacks. No Green or Turqoise :(

Ok, so how are the instinct screwdriver sets selling on Ebay? Are they going for as much over list as the preinstinct plastic handled versions? Is this a buying frenzy because Snap on sticks an Instinct Handle on everything now? I am often amazed at what people pay for Snap on stuff on Ebay.

Hey Merkava, Is that a rusty bit stuck in that stubby magnetic screwdriver? Don't tell me you actually used one of those red Snap on screwdrivers or did you wear the lettering off from frequent polishing?:bounce:

See what I mean? :D
Yeah I'm being a bit nostalgic though because I had all of the red handled screwdrivers (regular, long, mini, & 4 different ratcheting styles) plus prybars/picks/ & torx back about 10 years ago. I sold everything and have regretted it ever since! I have recently been trying to rebuild my collection and these new screwdrivers they offer don't cut it for me. I loved the look and feel of my old screwdrivers and would love to replace them with what I once had.
I guess at that price I will just have to settle.

I could only find a couple of pictures of my old box with only a small portion of the Snap-on goods.
Anyway in the first pic you can see the pry bars and the plastic case to the ratcething screwdriver set.

And in these next two you can see how polished they were LOL!!!

NOTE the black handles ratcheting 1/4" driver.

Yes Billy I bought everything new off of my local Snap-on dealer and these were taken just before I sold them all. I used a disposable camera and ran outta film so I was unable to get pics of everything :/ This is less then one quarter of the stuff I had. I cry a little inside every time I think about it and it is one of the reasons I want to rebuild what I once had.

What kind of toolbox is that I don't recognize it!?!
One of my fave! Craftsman PROSET top box that had 9 smaller drawers above 3 full width drawers and a push button combo lock. I don't have photo's of the bottom unfortunatly.
It would be their equivalent to the Snap-on I currently own.

Well, all it takes is money and money.... if you are low on money it just takes longer to get back everything you had; obviously, if you have the money you could order everything off snapon.com and have it shipped to your house, lol!!! I don't have lots of dough, so I have slowly purchased Snap-On stuff used; there are deals out there you just have to look for them, ebay is pretty high! I have gotten all my Snap-On stuff at pawn shops and flea markets; it has taken time but I have gotten my Snap-On tools at probably 25% of retail. To find the killer deals takes time and patience; obviously, buying new is the quickest and most expensive way to buy tools. All my tools are used and generally not nice, pristine but they all work and get the job done! The deals are out there, keep your eyes pealed!

Yeah I know, I had allot more surplus cash back then and could buy tools like that. Now it's a different story with more bills.... I will rebuild and there will be another set on the bay at a lower price and I might get them then, if not then there will be another chance I'm sure.
