Great job. After staring at the paint job (and I like it) I think I will suggest outlining the man door with a 2-wide black strip. Not the door frame-just the door itself. This will set it off a bit better and make it Pop.

Just an idea.

slickgt1 and Stargeezer and All--

slickgt1, ha! I will NEVER be finished! :)

More Gladiator cabinetry above-left and above-right of the lathe. Another 7-drawer roll-away to the left of the lathe. A 45" shelf behind the mill located above the v-belt transfer case. Another 45" shelf located . . . somewhere, because I already bought it, too.

Stargeezer, hmmmm. I kinda like your idea. I'll take a look in the morning.

All--

I have a little more progress to report.

The Gladiator GearWall to the left of the lathe is new. (I stole one of the three cabinets on the not-shown left wall for this picture!) Next, I will put GearWall on the right side of the lathe. I'll replace the stolen cabinet and also put one on the right side of the lathe.

In back of the mill, just barely seen in this picture, is one of those Gladiator 45" heavy duty shelves. You just see it at the top of the mill, behind the motor. The gallon can of WD40 is sitting on it. It's a great place to keep oil and cutting fluid and boxes of rags.

I would love to have one of those Gladiator mini-workbench thingys. I would place it to the left of the mill. But, I don't know what I would do with the beer box! I don't drink, but my best friend expects it to be there . . . or at least in the garage.

Looking better with every pic.

You know what you should consider doing. That slat wall, pain the bottom of it gray and continue the stripe. It seems to sort of jump out at you, like something was nailed to the wall as an afterthought.

slickgt1--

When I am in the garage, it looks "right." But, when I see a picture of it I see what you mean. Yesterday, I duplicated the "slat wall" (Gladiator GearWall) on the right side of the lathe. Can you see the clear Lexan sheet I put in back of the lathe as a splash guard? It keeps cutting fluid off the wall; works great.

When I get the right cabinet mounted, I will re-think what you've been saying.

Oh yeah deff mount right cabinet first. It might give the space more visual symmetry. I sort of see why it looks right when you are there, but only if I sort of try to look toward the right side of the pic.

No didn't notice the lexan, but that is the point I guess.

The white red and gray combination always looks great in a garage. Nicely done.
