Sealant under pvc roll flooring

Greetings,

I am moving into a newly built house in MN soon, and would like to protect the floor with rolled flooring, but wonder if a sealant applied prior to installing the rolled pvc flooring would be prudent. Salt and water seem to find their way through the seams, and I want to prevent hidden damage.

Any recommendations? I have read a few posts where others have used Foundation Armor SX5000WB with success.
