The sealer is Quickrete wet look sealer that I bought at Lowes for around $120.00 for five gallons. I did about 2/3 of the 30x48 barn so far. I did two coats. There is about a gallon and a half l or so left. So it will be close as to whether I will need to buy another gallon.

I also bought the Quickrete etch/cleaner. I used the etch/cleaner, the cleaner was $20.00 per gallon and did about a third of the barn. I thought it was pricey. So I cleaned the other third with simple green degreaser and muriatic acid dilluted to 24oz per gallon of water. Using the same technique as with the etch/cleaner and I got similar results, except the muriatic acid was only 7.00 per gallon. I also final cleaned the concrete with a pressure washer. Came out very clean although I still had some a few oil spots that did not come out completely. Then I applied the sealer with a sprayer and a roller.

I wanted something cheap that would prevent my concrete from absorbing oil and chemicals.

looks nice, did the sealer take a while to cure or were you able to walk on it shortly after?

I put the first coat on and then waited a two hours. After the two hours I was able to walk on it to apply the second coat. That was on Saturday evening. Sunday morning it was pretty hard. I am giving it an extra day or so to be safe before I move my stuff over.

I wonder if you could add a tint to the sealer and mix before applying? I have a 36X40 floor to do and need to get something on the floor.

It does get slippery when wet, but not bad. It does prevent the oil from absorbing into the concrete. I had a small oil spill and it wiped right up.
