Sealed floor?

I know this subject has been beat to death but I wanted to get some input here. Just bought a house and wanted to epoxy the garage floor before I move all of my junk in. I've spent the last couple of weeks researching and reading everything I can.

For the life of me I can't tell if the floor is sealed or not, the outside 2 feet of the floor are definitely not sealed and look like they were ground at some point along with the area just under the garage door seal. However the middle part is darker, smoother and looks like it might have been sealed but has oil stains that are "soaked in". If I do the water test the water sort of beads up but does absorb a bit. I can't scrape any kind of coating off of the surface like I can at my current house which does have a sealer. I poured some etch on the area that looks sealed and it bubbles like crazy, so does that mean there's no sealer?

If the etching solution is bubbling, then there isn't a sealer present. Make sure to degrease the oily areas first. Etching solutions do not clean or remove oil.
