Unsure of the existing sealer composition, but it's kind of rubbery when removed. I made multiple passes with a single-disc Edco using dyma-serts last weekend. Dark spots in the attached picture, which I believe to be low spots throughout the slab, were left untouched by the grinder. That is where the sealer needs to be removed before epoxy can be applied.

A citrus-based stripper was applied overnight and the sealer softened a little bit, but it wouldn't just scrape off. I then started using an 1800 psig pressure washer which seems to be working, but I'll need more time using it to tell if it really is doing the job.

Shot blasting is not an option and the dust shroud I bought for my 4.5" grinder does not work very well. I'd like to finish the prep this weekend since temperatures are falling and time is running out. My time and cost estimates for prep have doubled. This is frustrating. Any thoughts or ideas you may have would be greatly appreciated.
