If you want a clear sealer you can use one of the MMA products. There are also densifiers which will strengthen the concrete and help resist salt. They penetrate into the concrete so nothing there to wear away.

I am in a similar situation. Replacement garage floor slab being placed in about a month or so. I am looking to seal the slab. I need something to withstand oil spills and welding sparks.

Any recommendations?

Hi for general use we normally recommend (and have thousands of satisfied GJ users) of our 100% solids www.armorcladepoxy.com system, our our SPGX one part Polyurea. These are both 'topical' coatings.

For a penetrating sealer we recommend Ghostshield system which uses densifier and sealer. This option doesn't change the look of the concrete at all since it penetrates.

Dusting can be a symptom of a weak-cap. If the concrete perishes under the pressure of you pushing (really pushing) a flat-blade screw-driver into the concrete then this is sadly the case. However, if the surface is strong and the dusting is occurring only because it's untreated, then Formula-137™ might help. This product, unlike other penetrating sealers, does include an integral densifier.
