OK, I have some design thoughts on an entry way into a mud room area in our garage build and want some thoughts / idea's on how to seal the floor.

Historically there was a carriage house on the back of our house with a breeze way that had a brick floor, was outside the heating envelope of the house and looked great. We have the garage and mud room drawn up and I would like to use a brick "veneer" to do the floor in the new mud room to pay homage to the old structure. Floor would be installed like a tile floor with old bricks sawcut to roughly 1/2" thick using the original old faces as the flooring surface.

How would I seal this floor.
Don't want it shiny but sealed for moisture protection and clean up ease.

Most likely this flooring would be in entry, mud room & bath/laundry area.

These rooms would be on a crawl space so concrete board would be overlaid on sub floor for the sub strait.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but do these sealers also work well to seal vertical stone veneers?

I have a house faced with limestone and would like to limit water penetration. When water gets into the stone it supports dirt and mold build-up, and sometimes during a driving rain the water penetrates far enough to get completely through the stone.

Hi,
Most sealers will work on any surface. We would strongly recommend you test a sealer on a small area of the house and see how it works, looks, sheen changes, etc before you do an entire exterior.
