Well, its my lucky day, concrete guy is set up to pour in the morning. I have a 6 mil plastic vapor barrier (seams taped) and most of it is double layer, my PB is 30x48, do I need to seal the floor?, it will only be my F-250 and my E350 parked in here or various, lawnmower, atv ect, floor will be 4" thick. Last week we put down the gravel and tamped it down real good, I let it dry out several days before I put the vapor barrier ontop of it, it has set up hard. We get rain just about every day lately, but no moisture problems yet? What should I use to seal it, if its needed?

Don't these sealers have to be removed to top coat with epoxy based products? I used a product made by Euclid and it lets oil go straight through and just about any petroleum product dissolves it.

Are you going to be coating in? At the end of the day with an epoxy you would need to grind anyway... Ghostshield makes a product (8505) that is very strong at repelling oil when applied after a straight densifier. TL40 does a great job after a densifier as well.

We have 16 gallons of the ghost shield on the way. If you want to try it and a densifier, let me know. I would sell it below cost to get some honest feedback. The feedback on TL37 followed by tl40 has been outstanding.

CureNSeal products are used primarily for the slow hydration benefit. Although the sealer portion is a good one , it would have to be ground off to use an epoxy.

Densifiers do not offer the same benefit as these purposeful CureNSeal products and they do not improve the finish,. Our Legacy CureNSeal UV leaves a really nice uv resistant gloss finish, helping to prevent cracking is the reason for this product.

Hey flooring guys - instead of trying to sell him your product why don't you first answer his question - does he need to seal it?

Nice observation.
The answer is no. Plenty of slabs go untreated while green. A better sealing product can be applied post cure.

Frankly, the mason usually applies the post pour treatments as he has a vested interest in trying to prevent cracks.

Ghost shield is new to us but very promising. Tl37 & 40 are a combination that works very well. Do you 'need them' if you not going to coat the concrete protecting it is a great idea.

The densifier is going to protect the concrete permanently. Helps weathering, abrasion resistance, dusting, abrasion resistance etc. the addition of the conditioner or ghost shield helps repel water and stains.

2x! I have the same question.

Fair enough. Thought I was. It's a matter of opinion. Also interpretation of the original question as to which product is best.

As for myself I am not overly focused on selling densifier for the purpose of selling it. It's very inexpensive and not something that generates a lot of profit on a garage type project. I honestly think it's one of those things that is an absolute no brainier and minimum. In the long run save homeowners a fortune, and is way underutilized. A basic 2 car garage is well under $100 for densifier/waterproofer combo. We lowered our prices to a bare minimum and we are trying to make people aware. For those of us where it gets cold especially I can't overstate the value and need.
