I am looking to seal my interior floor. The slab has a vapor barrier under it. It was poured over 6 months ago. The slab was power troweled and has a smooth finish. I am looking for a clear finish. With that said, can I get by with cleaning the concrete throughly and then sealing it. Or do I need to etch it first. Nothing has ever been applied to it. Thanks to any information in advance.

Capt2130:

If you go acrylic a light etch using a buffered acid is sufficient.
If you go epoxy base coat, urethane topcoat you would need to use a muriatic acid etch or grind.

Choose your medicine. :)
