I had to go to one of the new Super Walmarts the other day. I had not been in the store before. The floor was a very nice red/brown. It looked like acid stain, but not sure. There were a couple of guys buffing the floor just like if it was vct tile. It got me thinking of the same type of finish in my shop. With or without the acid stain. It looked like a great answer to a shop floor finish. I own an Advance floor buffer, and it would be no big deal to tune it up every few months.

That is a polished finish. A grinder is utilized which has diamond cutters and the floors are then polished. The Lowes type floor is supposed to be near 400 grit, they can polish to 1500. A densifier is added to the concrete. It sounds as though cost is near that of having epoxy coating appplied.

How would it work to seal and wax my power trowled conrete.

I want the same thing that a ton of other people have posted. I do not want epoxy. It would be nice to have a sealed surface that is easy to sweep.Good looks would be a plus.
