When I go to do a 'search', I click on the 'Search' button on the black banner at the top of the screen. When I do, the drop down field comes up, but when I click on the field to enter search subject, as soon as the keyboard comes up, the search screen disappears immediately. Anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong ??

Also, I'm an Alliance member on HAMB - does that carry over to the GJ ??
Thanks,
Bob

Free parking ??? No idea what you mean.

What I'm trying to do is a search for different subjects in building my shop.

Then try GOOGLE and use the GJ forum as part of the search. As Cob stated the FP is a section of the forum and search no longer covers that part of the forum. GOOGLE will find all as long as you use Garage Journal as part of the search.

Are you browsing on the internet using a smartphone?
Mine does the same thing when I browse on my phone, just click on advanced search (under where you type what youre searching) it will open a new page and that should work.

A variation of this allows you to limit a Google search to a specific website. If you input "site:______ XYZ", it will limit the search to the specific website that you input as "______" and for the subjects "XYZ". For example, try inputting the following.

site:garagejournal.com show your workbench

When I performed the above search, the first result shown is "Lets see your workbench - The Garage Journal Board"

Hope that the explanation makes sense, and that it works as well for you.

It works better than the site search function.
