It would be great if there was a search "how to" video or cheat sheet. Or maybe I'm doing things right and there should be some enhancements to the relevance of search results.

Is there a method to require multiple words? Or a way to get results that have relevance factored in based on the words proximity?

For instance, I tried finding a posts about 40v pole saw and I got 20+ posts just today, each having only one of those words contained, so I got results on pole barns, and circular saws, band saws, etc..etc..

I can do "40v pole saw", but that requires the whole phrase exactly like that, which only resulted in 3 threads and there are many more.

I ended up going to google and using site:www.garagejournal.com to find the thread I was looking for, but that seems like a barrier to folks using the search function.

Just food for thought. Thanks for a great forum.

Google is an advanced search engine. The software running the forums can't assimilate keywords as well. Your site search using Google is almost always more productive.
