A very good friend of mine gave me a Sears Floor Service Jack which does not work properly. It will barely lift with nothing on it, and is quite easy to push down with my foot.

The general fit and finish seems much nicer than my Costco 3.5T jack, which I know is an import. Anyone know if this was an import? I must be at least 20+ years old. Worth keeping and rebuilding? It would be nice to have a second Jack, but for $105 I can get another Costco Jack...

its looks similar to my newer imported 3 ton sears craftsman jack. i think almost any jack with that type of power unit is imported junk.

Looks similar to my 15 year old craftsman 3T import.

The problem I found with these jacks is sears doesn't sell individual parts for them or a rebuild kit, at least not for mine. I tried searching your model number and it didn't come up with any results. They only sold a new pump assembly for mine which was around 60 bucks if I remember correctly. Which is almost the price of a new 3T jack when they are on sale so it's not worth it. Now if someone like hiball offers a rebuild kit for them cheaper than the whole pump assembly than it might be worth it.

I can supply you with all the seals for much... Much less. I have a tutorial in the sticky section that will walk you through the dismantle etc. I would guess less than $30 shipped for everything.

Btw... Your jack is a import, but much Better than the yasui based jacks sold today.

Hiball, Thanks for the offer to help out with a rebuild kit. $30 is a lot better than $90

However, since the jack is nothing special, I think I will spend my time on some other tools that need restoration. Anyone in Colorado Springs want to take a crack at it? Free to a good home.
