I found this Sears discount code and it seems to be working on most tool purchases. It gives you 10% off each item you add to your cart. Just type in 10OFFMARSAVINGSD as the coupon code, it's supposed to be good till the end of March. However, it's Sears, so it's working now but tomorrow, who the hell knows.

I posted about the double discount early this morning, and added a credit to you for posting the coupon. Is this alright?

19% off Tools @ Sears post

At about 2am, I discovered that several on-sale items were discounted further. A tool set that's normally on sale for $100 and sometimes discounted to $90 is now $80. Another tool set normally $160 on sale is now $154.

AND the Ultimate Garage cabinets that I mentioned a few days are also on sale, taking them from 40-50% off to 52-60% off.

I really want that 26" 5 drawer griplatch Chest. It's $309 out the door. I have the bottom and 4 drawer intermediate, I'm just not sure if I want to get a chest or another intermediate... What do you guys think?

I'd really like to use this to get my Hobart Handler 187, but I've spent too much money this month to justify another $500+ purchase.:(

Came out to 28.25 after all the coupons stacked.
That is a GREAT set, and a crazy discount as well. Nice catch!

No problem! Charlie deserves a lot of credit for finding that coupon. So what did you end up buying?

Stuey - You may recall a few weeks back I had a list of things I was waiting on for a sale....I pulled the trigger on that stuff. It was fantastic that everything showed in stock, too, given our conversation on the deep offset wrenches.

Focus area was deep offsets, 1/2" drive short impact sockets, filling in the gaps in my torx set and the 3/8" drive thumb ratchet that has been recommended on the board. These things don't seem to go on sale that often so per your guidance, I bought them on a **% off all tools sale. I was hoping for 20% off and I got it (well, close) with free shipping to boot.

Thanks, Stuey. I bought the SAE and metric crowsfoot set without the extensions, it kills me that its the same price, but the set with extensions was out of stock. I also bought three round head fine tooth ratchets, which I don't really need. And I finally got that Craftsman SAE and metric thread restorer set for my engine building projects. I used a $50 gift card and so my out of pocket total for all these items was $113. Just doing my part to help the economy.

Woot!

Just ordered the following:

1/4" Quick Release Fine Tooth Roundhead Ratchet
3/8" Quick Release Fine Tooth Roundhead Ratchet
3/8" Quick Release Fine Tooth Roundhead Flex Ratchet
1/2" Quick Release Fine Tooth Roundhead Ratchet
1/2" Quick Release Fine Tooth Roundhead Flex Ratchet
3/8" Full Polish Stubby Flexhead Ratchet

And 5 or 6 sockets that I was "missing" to not only complete some sets, but to bring the total up to $125 so that I scored free shipping.

10OFFMARSAVINGSD is FUBAR :mad::(
The coupon is still showing up as valid when I try it. Someone mentioned that it might require a minimum order of $50.

Also, today through Friday, the promo is 10% off $199-$350, 15% off if $350+, and the coupon stacks as well.

Didn't that thread restorer have a $59 regular price a little while back?

Yes, it did, as recently as six weeks ago it was 59 bucks. I wound up getting it for 54 bucks after all the discounts yesterday. Don't know why it went up those ten dollars, but stuff like that does piss one off.

BTW, I just tried that coupon code again, on a 29 dollar item, just as a test to see if it works on items below 50 bucks. It took the 3 bucks off. I don't know why it isn't working for some individuals.

That is does. I'm not buying it. I'll just make my own thread chasers as I need them. I was thinking about the snap on set for a little bit (for the fact they warranty the individual pieces), but after looking at an open 40 piece set in sears today, all it is is some fancy bolts with grooves cut in them, and nuts with grooves cut in them.

I'm starting to get turned off on gearwrench too. Material prices go down, fuel prices (shipping prices) goes down, the economy is in a recession and they seem to be jacking up all their prices :wtf: the few gearwrench tools I got were at 50% + off back before their price increases. I think the 5 piece tap and die accessory set will be the last gearwrench product I'll buy for quite some time unless some screaming deals pop up.
