I'm not big on purchasing duplicate tooling, but some items are just too useful in pairs.

This is my second Walker J122-type jack, and it appears to be in very good condition for its age. I do not trust its seals, though, and would like to have the unit rebuilt.

I read the threads posted about the availability of parts and the write-ups for taking care of this myself. I expect to rely on this jack not to kill me, though. Because of that, it's not a job for a first-timer.

I live near Baltimore. Google offers business listings for hydraulic repair shops, but I would prefer personal references if they're available. Who do you trust that you can recommend?

Still looking for recommendations. I would drive it as far west as Kansas City if there were interest and availability.

I realize that this is a year old, but nobody should ever put themselves beneath a vehicle that is not supported by it's own wheels or jack stand(s). A floor jack is just for lifting the vehicle until you can get the stands under there.

Any place that does hydraulic repair should be able to handle this for you, but if you want to be sure it's done correctly, you have to do it yourself. The kit is about $50.
