I can't find much in the way of useful reviews or capabilities

Worth $250 new in box? I have a contact with the manufacturer and saw one boxed, shrink wrapped on a shelf waiting to be adopted.

Any info you might have be appreciated too if you have any

Plan for 90% use on wood with rare occasions for metal uses

Looks like the parts are interchangeable with Rikon presses, so that should give you an idea of the quality. Not too bad, and $250 is fair for a brand new 17" drill press. If it has the speed range you need, it's worth taking a look at it.

Well that's reassuring since Rikon made it for Sears. They are in my state so I was there yesterday picking up my band saw. Joe there is a great guy

Saw about 40-50 band saws that were backordered being readied to head out to anxious customers
