I have a much older one of these, MDF top and silver/gray colors. Definitely not heavy duty but works great for many applications. I use them as bases for small workshop tools, like a router/shaper table. Holds all of the cutters, gauges, guards...etc.

Not a bad deal. I bought 3 of them a few days ago. I wish the metal was a little thicker.

Looks good enough to put some screwdrivers and pliers in

Well then I am a lucky man because for some odd reason HF has given me many screwdrivers. Some little flashlights too! Please don't tell anyone else though, they may stop giving them to me.

kbkna, I can check the dimensions for you tomorrow.

Tcpoob thanks for the info. I was looking for the dimensions of the lower section that appears to have a pullout and lift type cover.

Is the top open once you remove the laminate? I'd like to set a rockler router table on top with the router hanging down inside the cabinet. Think it's possible or would I have to do metal cutting?

Thanks

I have one that I turned into a welding cart. It is very light duty.

I only store consumables in the drawers.

Not something that I would want to put any weight in the drawers but worked out just fine for my purpose.

I am going to store my drills and impacts in the bottom section. Drills and impact bits in the drawers. My consumables for my new cut50f when it gets here too. It is very light duty but great for what I will use it for.

kbkna: inside dimensions: width 26" length and height 14.5"
ttf5003: The top is not open once you remove the laminate.

that is the same one they had at Christmas for $100.00, with a free drill.
The drill is sitting NIB in my living room.
I would have rather just paid $60.00 for the box alone.
Yeah, it's pretty light duty and the bottom door is flimsy.
Have it next to my metal lathe as a work surface, and light storage.
It''s not too bad though.

Wonder what that drill would bring on craigslist?

Thanks, just bought two for the wife's craft room. Quality is not too bad, it's all assembled just attach the casters. There's a pegboard on one side and an extension cord wrap on the other side. Even has a beer holder

It was $64.99 on their web site. When I went to the store they were displayed with a sign for $74.99. I showed them the web page and they agreed to give it to me at that price. When the salesman put it in the computer he told me it was actually $53.97.

I had one years back. Not impressed with feel of it. Right after i bought it gets all marked up easily especially the bottom part so hard to open when slide that thing. And no ball bearings...

New to GJ, but longtime lurker. Anyway, just scored one of these for $35.93 + tax at the local Sears Outlet. OTD was $38.80. Not the nicest rolling tool chest, but can't beat that price with a stick! :D

Planning on using it as a welding cart until I finish my work/ fabrication bench, then rolling this underneath for tool storage.

They are very light duty, almost embarrassingly so, BUT they make good bases for other tools that you don't roll around much, but still have the option for it. They can be good for sheds and other locations that aren't used a lot.

LOL Remember the thread I started about my buddy that was ******* me off, always wanting to buy my tools after I did all the searching Craigs list and drivingfor hours, and never wanted to pay what I want for stuff?
Any-ways, maybe not, But, LOL he brought the drill for $30.00, no problem, so I was cool with that.
So I got my "Tin foil" tool box for $70.00.
he has not been a PITA lately either, so Thats cool.
