So I see this combo, 3 ton jack, jackstands and creeper for $100.

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-3-t...SellerId=Sears&prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

I do not need another creeper, but I am looking for a jack and the jackstands are always handy.

The online reviews (almost 700) are good.

I had been looking at the Costco unit, same price, part aluminum, no jackstands/creeper:

Anyone have experience/thoughts on this issue? Just a hobbyist shop so will not see daily use, but my floor jack is old and pretty tired.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and good luck with tool finds.

Thanks, Bruce

I just sold an old Powerbuilt 3.5T for $60 on CL. Honestly I was surprised by the interest it received.

For BF TSC has a Traveller (their house brand) 3T for $140 so I'd say your find at Sears seems like a damn good price.

I don't know what your budget is or how far you're willing to stretch it, but if you want a really sweet jack that drops lower and goes higher than the typical chi-com this Sunex is just awesome, but the trade-off for a longer arm is a lower weight rating of 2T:

I know in a lot of ways a jack is a jack is a jack but I gotta tell ya using the Sunex just puts a smile on my face every time, and I don't use jacks much having a 2 post lift.

I think Arcan also re-badges this jack, or at least there's one that looks damn similar.

I got that set over a decade ago. It came with a two piece creeper then. I don't like that part. It works okay now, but drops quicker than I would like. I have to finesse the handle turning. I've never had a problem with the jack stands. I still use them and an high set of Craftsman as well.

Just remember that this is really for trucks only because so many cars need low profile jacks.

My Sears like the one linked is also a slow pump, I'd get anything with a rapid pump/ fast lift over it.

That's about when I got mine also. The jack *****. Mine bent lifting the front end of my F350. It still works, but I have to hold it down with my foot for the first couple of pumps. The jack stands are your basic Chinese jackstand. My creeper was also a 2 piece, and that made an okay creeper into a pain in the *** when it tries to separate itself (I should permanently affix both halves).

Overall, I'd rather spend the money on that HF jack that SnapOn is suing over.

I have that yellow Daytona from HF. Freaking love it. Tested it the past couple days held up my dual axle trailer loaded with tools and two sets of tires she didn’t drop a CM mind you it’s in the high teens low 20s at night here in Oregon.

I have the Costco Arcan jack & my dad has a Craftsman jack similar to the one pictured.
The Craftsman jack is slow to lift, and the knurling on the handle is very aggressive (as in, it could be smoother). Preverence goes to the Arcan jack.
