For what its worth, I picked up a Gladiator 6ft work bench in the clearance section of my local Sears store for half price. It was listed as 'discontinued' and marked down to $275 from $550

There was no advertisement and sears.com shows none in stock and standard price of $550.

This is a BEEFY workbench. If anyone is in the market for a butcherblock top workbench maybe check your local sears clearance section. It is nothing fancy, just some steel legs and a thick butcherblock, but it is built very well for $275

I have one of these as a second bench and it's nice. About 8 months ago it was quietly on sale for around $100.

If you only paid $100, it's likely the cheaper model that does not have adjustable legs (among other differences).

The one in the OP occasionally goes down to $250. It's presumably a rubber wood top. They also offer maple and bamboo. The maple used to go down to $250, but it seems this new "hardwood" model took its place for value pricing.

I have that same exact bench and love it. I got it on sale as well. I'd jump on another one for a good sale price. $499 for me to.

This.

They had another workbench for sale for $150 but it was definitely lesser quality.

I went back today to see if the other higher end workbench had sold yet (there was 2 when I picked mine up). It was still tucked away in the corner where they kept the clearance items. I couldnt resist and brought it home. The employee that I had load it up for me was rather bummed. He didnt even realize the benches were discounted so heavily.
