If you buy online now for in store pickup there is an auto $10 off Mechanics tool sets = $89.99 for the 145 piece set... HELL of a deal. In for 1 for my bro for xmas.

$10 I'm in for the impact screwdriver, with $1.50 for an additional 1 year replace instead of repair warranty. Lot of returns I've heard on this item, but maybe in a year they will have a nice new model to give me. ;)

I bought the non power bolt out set last week. The power version has 1/4 hex drive instead of a big hex head to put a socket on.

I bought a heavy plastic, I think OTC, 3 tier service cart and really like it. Strong, and means nothing to dump any kind of nasty stuff on it since its plastic and easy to clean.

Looks still $29.99 thru 12/8 with CC. If I hadn't just bought and opened etc. the 5 pc for $10 I would be real tempted, still kind of tempted, but I think its "mostly" one or two bigger sizes, unless these don't fit as "universal" as they look in small sizes.

Looks like that was just yesterday. With two kits it was $15 off each, three was more etc.

Thought I got a good deal on mine too...damn... Still an awesome deal, no junk and hell it wouldn't hurt to have a set of 6 point wrenches either...

Thanks for the post of that, I have been looking for a kit for the car and this will fit the bill nicely.

Even though I missed the $10 off, it's still a decent price and I can chalk off a couple people off my Christmas list with the extras that I'll have.

I am also grateful for the professional screwdriver post from last week.

Now if anyone has a lead on a deal for decent 40" box, I am set!

$89 + tax; the dupes go to my brother. Only difficult part was lugging the set back through the mall and the parking lot.

Sears in Orange showed impact screwdriver and 145 pc set both in stock, neither were, but the kid gave me a raincheck on the 145 pc with a note on the $10 coupon, and I bought the screwdriver online, so just wait for them to come in.

HF, Sears, Home Depot, and a plumbing store I stopped at today, all out of stock on the item I needed, AND Big Lots was out of the cookies I like. grrrrrrr

FWIW That's one of the cleanest sets I've seen in a long time without nutdrivers and hex wrenches, etc. Absolute steal at $90.

It's a substantial list :thumbup:

125 sockets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 in. drive sizes. Goes rather large too! Up to 1" in both standard & deep well 3/8 drive & 1-1/4" in 1/2 drive.

Metric went to 22mm in standard and 19 in deep in the 3/8 drive and 22 in the 1/2 drive standard only.

I used it to fill some voids in my box in the larger sizes, I've got a lot of the more common sizes available if someone is looking to pick up something.

Most tool sets are 12 pt, and these are all 6 pt which will have much better contact. I always assumed the 12 pt sets were kind of the teaser, people buy them, then find out later they need the 6 pts if any real torque is involved.

I wonder how many will get broken up and parts sold on ebay etc.?

There are 21 total sockets that come in that set that I don't have right now... seem like a good idea?

Used the coupon today $89 + tax, also got the 18 piece sae/metric for $9.99 + tax with the same coupon....:bounce:

Did it... another $99 set, probably worth it to have a beater set of tools for the car/basement/whatever. Wonder if they'll let me use the coupon at the store even tho I bought it online? Worth a shot.
