Free to good home that wants to take some time and get this vintage gal up and running again. History: belonged to a friend of the family, then to my Dad 20-ish years ago, then to me 10-ish years ago. I had it running, everything worked, then the compressor had difficulty upon start up, and that was 8-9 years ago. As best I recall the motor pulley would spin without turning the belt, it would squeal, and I shut it down. I *think* I narrowed it down to a pump unloader that wasn’t unloading, or the tank check valve not working. Either of these should be easily fixable. The tank didn’t leak, the pump operated fine, motor is excellent. It needs cleaning up, and the motor is 220V only, and I believe it’s a firm (real) 2hp so it wouldn’t be able to operate on a 15a 110v circuit. There’s no plug on the cord.
It’s been sitting in my shed for too long, I don’t need it, and I know there’s some love for the older Sears machines. I’d like somebody to have it that will get it fixed and put it to use. I’m about 20 minutes west of Charlotte and generally available to meet with a days notice. This is local pick up only, I won’t ship it.
Thanks, David
