Here is Sears BF ad. Very very mediocre, absolutely nothing I would consider buying. They have better deals regularly, so I think Sears is just trying to take advantage of people who think are getting a deal because it is BF...

Their ad is a million pages, so I'll just attach the ones with tool-related stuff. Enjoy!

Share your opinions on what you think may be a decent deal!

Some of it looks like pretty good deals. The 26 piece wrench set for 50% off is a bargain at $37.99. I bought one not too long ago. I waited for a while and the best price I could get was $45.99 + tax.

It looks like some of the other items are at their lowest sale prices, so they're still good deals.

It doesn't look that bad to me.

They have better deals regularly, so I think Sears is just trying to take advantage of people who think are getting a deal because it is BF...
What are some of the items that are regularly on better prices? The couple things I'd be interested in, the prybars for example, don't seem to go lower than the prices in the BF ad, that I've seen at least.

I've seen those prybars go on sale for ~$18.00, because of extra 10% off online. Overall, I think the WF prybar set is a much better value anyway.

Last year I bought some door busters online for the same prices with store pickup. I believe everything is valid online as long as it's the same times.

Yeah, nothing there that really makes me want to go to Sears on that day. Some are good deals, but nothing stellar IMO.

You are correct. The sears ad last sunday actually says "SYWR members actually get BF prices online at sears.com/membersonly. Sunday, 11/18 at 5pm CT - Monday, 11/19 11:59pm CT. and pick up at your convenience 11/19-11/24

Limited Quantaties! Hurry before our doorbusters are available to general public on 11/22-11/23"

Some if these sales are exactly the same as the local sale ad I just got in the newspaper today. Seems like a few decent ones but nothing to get excited about, for me anyway.

What do you guys think about the 309 piece set for $199? Worth it considering it comes with ratcheting wrenches?

I've actually purchased an item or two in this ad for better prices...
Take the 2 1/2 ton hydraulic jack and jack stands for example....bought them 3 or so weeks ago for 35+tax. It was listed on this forum. In this BF ad they are listing ONLY the hydraulic jack for 40...

Last year I purchased the 255 piece mechanics tool set for 149 (same as this year)...one of the best investments I've made for my fledgling tool collection.

IMO Absolutely not. Yeah, it's a bunch of sockets, but most of them are duplicates. You really don't need a 3/8 drive deep 7/16 in 6 point and also in 12 point. Most of the rest just seems like filler to me. Get the 154 piece or better yet the 192 piece next time it goes on sale, one of those sets comes with the T-handle nutdrivers in both metric and SAE. That particular set isn't on sale right now though. I bought the 309 piece set for my BIL and took it back the very next day.

It hits that price every few months and every now and then guys use some other coupons to get it down another $10-$20. I bought it around $250, not a bad set if you aren't a tool snob. Ratchet wrenches are nice enough for me. I use something out of it pretty much every day. The R. wrenches are what sold it for me. A lot of the other stuff to make up the 309 is 6-8 and 12 point sockets in the same sizes so beware of that. Also a lack of anything over either 13/16" or 7/8" for the most part.

Yeah, I am actually considering purchasing this 189 piece all 6 point

What do you think about that? Seems not to have hex key "fillers".

These look like good deals to me:

3.99 2-piece socket rails, all drive sizes. Perfect for your sockets in your truck/car box.
12.49 roller stand, use it with your miter saw.
39.99 Craftsman hydraulic seat. Not a great deal but not bad.
19.99 adjustable rolling seat. Again, not great, but not bad either.

Not too bad, but I'd still go for the one with the T-handled nut drivers. Seems to me it was a heck of a lot cheaper than that one is. I think it was this one:

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-181-...00983227000P?prdNo=6&blockNo=56&blockType=G56

Well, I guess it wasn't cheaper after all!Your choice of course. I haven't compared between the two.

I have a pair of the 35 LED work lights and love 'em. I cant speak for the other one. The 35 light you click once and the lights come from the side where you see it, again and it comes out the top...a third time and it goes through both and 4th to turn it off. Pretty handy.
Comes with a wall and car charger.

Seems like almost any item under $50 or $60 is a good deal. They really tried to hit a price point with this ad.

I did take a look at the entire ad and they have good deals throughout the store. 4 am might be a game time decision for me.

Noticed the Craftsman 16 pc reversible ratcheting wrench set for $60, good price, item# 935448 not online never seen before. They do sell a USA 8 pc set in either metric or SAE. Just wondering if the BF ones are USA. Has anyone seen this set in the wild?

I checked locally, and the sets that have been shipped in for the BF sale are all China.

The Gearwrench sets for BF are Taiwan.

I got the 35 led light for christmas from a coworker and bought one for my dad as gift. Both of them sit on are toolboxes unused because they just dont put off enough light. There ok under a dashboard or something but they honestly dont put off much light so unless you need it to be mobile a regular drop light puts off way more light. Does anyone know if its just the chinese reversible gear wrenches that have the stupid ring on them that only lets you use them 1 direct if that makes since? Ive seen them without and wonder if its taiwan ones that dont have them or if its just the gearwrenchs sold at sears?

Thanks for the info adamsredlines, Ill try the 35 led light.
It would much easier not having a cord in the way all the time
even if it does mean a little less light.

Correction: Just picked them up and they took longer than 5 minutes so I received a $5 coupon, didnt even ask for it

$40 well spent :)

Yep, the metrics are $30, while SAE currently show at $20.

However, in my experience, these are rather low quality wrenches. I scored a set of metrics a few years ago for $22, but when I compared these with craftsman full polish ratcheting wrenches (USA made, some 3-4 years ago) - the chrome looked pale, and scratched very very easily!

I picked up the SAE set regardless since I still had the $6 is SYWR to burn. At least sears was smart enough to make this unavailable for shipping, as they would have shipped for free too haha!

Everything in the add is not available for SYWR Members at BF prices.
Only "Select Items". That's a bummer. I definitely won't be able to get there. Have to work Friday. You win some, you lose some I guess.

Thank you I was so worried I wouldn't be able to get one of the 20 pc wrench sets. I already have to run all over town to pick up other stuff. Now I have one secured might pick up another for at home.
