If I'm reading it right, it's 50% off $700 so $350 for the 40" top and bottom chest combo which is a steal.

I would like to justify it, but instead I'm solely relying on winning the stricklytoolboxes.com contest.....

FWIW, I paid a little less than $500 on a sale for just the bottom 40" Quiet Glide model - 2 years ago or so. So, that's a good price IMHO.

In a consumer-friendly state (one that makes the store eat typographical errors in printed advertising), you're gettin' it for $350. Note, unlike some of the other items on the same page, the word "sale price" does not precede the 699.98. Thus, in plain ol' English, it's 50% off $699.98, which is $350.

Besides, if you're willing to put up elbowing past all the middle-aged house fraus and their mothers, in matching sequined holiday sweaters , as opposed to hanging out in your shop the one day no one can interrupt you, you are certifiably crazy, and they should pay you to buy the cabinet. . .

I have that exact bottom box, 40" 14-drawer ball bearing grip-latch, picked it up a couple years ago for ~$450 on sale iirc.

I've been very happy with it, the whole thing feels sturdier than comparable price boxes I've seen and I haven't had any issues with it.

I pulled the trigger on this exact deal. $700 for the pair, just as most people are interpreting it. "50% off the regular price=$700". Still, $300 less than the regular combo price, so a pretty good deal IMO. The website price was also $700 for this combo on Black Friday - if I had known this I would've just ordered online and shipped to store, instead of battling all the mall parking lot idiots.

Since it was a doorbuster deal, I was afraid they'd limit it to quantities in stock, but fortunately for me it wasn't, because they had the bottom but not the top in stock. So I ordered at the sale price, and will pick up this week sometime when it gets in. Oh, I also got the intermediate full-length single drawer.
